Dr. Thomas H. Foregger Endorsement of Sai Akiri

Dear Editor,

I am writing as a member of the Berkeley Heights Board of Education but the views expressed are mine and not those of the Board.

I have been pleased to have Sai Akiri as a fellow member of the Berkeley Heights BOE. She ran on a platform of improving the quality of education for all students in the district and of increasing the transparency of the Board.

In the past year she has diligently worked to address both of these goals. She has fearlessly raised questions at board meetings and pushed for changes to the curriculum, and strived to increase visibility of the Board’s and administration’s decision process. She deserves to be re-elected. I hope you will vote for Sai in box 7-2.
