Land Use Ordinance 500 x 500 px

We were cc’d on an email connected to the Land Use Ordinance we posted about a few days ago – specifically on the issue of political signs.

Councilwoman Kingsley informed us that changes were being drafted after meeting with the attorney today. At about the same time, we received an email from Ms. Viana  (Township Administrator) informing us that the ordinance will be introduced during the 12/05 meeting.

Here is a link to the most current draft that we are aware of – much of our objections remain with this draft.

Political signs should not be singled out through a separate and arduous process, and political candidates have neither the authority nor obligation to remove signs from private property against the wishes of the property owner.

However, we hope the changes Ms. Kingsley worked on with the Attorney today led to a better version.
