What’s Important to Know About Berkeley Heights This Week….

This week’s newsletter begins with our story on a Berkeley Heights resident who took the NJ Department of Education to court on an OPRA case concerning the Berkeley Heights Public School bussing controversy and won.

We then move on to the 02/26/2024 Berkeley Heights BOE Meeting Agenda and cover concerns on the transportation presentation (also connected to the busing controversy), BOE Committee appointments, and another question concerning the audit.

Our NightWatch episode with former BOE President John Sincaglia is next, where we cover the above topics along with the first two meetings of 2024. We follow with an article covering the Town Council’s passage of a trespassing ordinance that included another tense exchange between Mayor Devanney and Councilman Donnelly.

We wrap up with important news from around New Jersey and our notes from the week that bring up serious questions about a Superintendent Search firm on BHPSNJ’s current shortlist.
