After years of controversial and closed budget decisions related to BHPSNJ, the finance committee, headed by newly appointed Chair Dipti Khanna, has released the first survey asking families for their input on the 2024 -2025 Budget.  Increasing family input was one of several recommendations made by BHCW last year in connection to the BHPSNJ Proficiency Declines.

The District has already begun a staggered distribution of the survey, so if you have not received it yet, it may soon arrive in your inbox.

This is a substantial first step in addressing concerns about the budget, and we look forward to seeing whether and to what extent the budget discussions incorporate the feedback. We hope the District releases the survey results before the next budget meeting.

BHCW developed a spreadsheet families can use to become more familiar with how dollars were used last year in preparation for the survey and Budget Meetings.
