What’s Important to Know About Our Local & State Government This Week….

April and May are turning out to be two strong months for incoming subscribers to our various platforms and newsletters.

We’ve also experienced increased interest from residents in other communities, which has prompted us to extend our reach and open our platforms to any community in the 21st District. That decision also led to the name change from BHCW to NJ21st, which we discuss more in the newsletter.

The newsletter provides comprehensive coverage of the bill that seeks to destroy OPRA, which most residents in our state hope the governor vetoes.

We move on to the second part of our coverage of the last BOE meeting, which included passage of the budget, resignations, and Gale Bradford’s controversial decision to sign a contract with the NJSBA on the Superintendent search without a Board review of the document.

A resident shares her letter to the BOE in support of the recent decision to lower costs for subscription busing with a video of dangerous traffic conditions in front of Woodruff. John presents more information from the NJ Performance report concerning Climate Indicators from seven Districts.
