Earlier today I wrote on the Council’s Attempt to have the public vote on the CMS Field Issue with little to no detail on the actual agreement publicly available and with no presentation in front of the BOE – which would give the BOE an opportunity to ask questions and express concerns.

I followed up with an email to the full BOE asking why the Recreation Department has not yet presented the proposal to the BOE in a public meeting:

Why hasn’t the town presented on the CMS field issue in front of the full board?
Thanks..John

Ms. Khanna replied back:

John,

Thank you for your note. Fair question and I think the township is best positioned to respond to that question.

After the Rec Department presented to the Finance Committee in 2023, I thought that they had plans to present to all board members in a public meeting in 2024. I have not seen any communication regarding that presentation to the full board. I believe everyone would benefit from that public meeting and open Q&A now that the township has engaged with the Athletics Committee recently.

Best Regards,
Dipti
