Arik Samson’s Response to BOE Candidate Question 4: Special Interests, Influence and Money

2024 Berkeley Heights BOE Elections

Mr. Samson’s Response to the Fourth in a Series of Questions to the 2024 Berkeley Heights BOE Candidates

I would like to begin with the fact that I am totally opposed to receiving support from special interests persons or groups (ex. Teachers’ Union).

I have not received any [financial] support from any person or special interest, and have not sought the endorsement of any organization. I want to go into office unencumbered with having to pay back political favors. The only interest I am obligated to as a BOE member is that of students and teachers.

In my mind, as a BOE member, all families will have an equal say, and I will evaluate feedback based on its merits and potential benefit to our district.

NJ21st does not profit from its content, does not accept money for campaign or business advertisements and is not run by a corporation. We welcome content from ALL residents, regardless of political affiliation as long as they work or reside in the 21st District and abide by our terms.
