Warren Election Heats Up, BHPSNJ Still Spinning, Environmental Concerns on Turf Field, Loretta! and NJ21st Turns Four

Newsletter

Radio Nowhere Two weeks after the township locked down public comments on social media — following backlash over its affordable housing decision — Warren’s election season is spiraling. Now we’ve got distractions about email hacks and farmland sell-offs flying in all directions. Meanwhile, one incumbent still hasn’t agreed to a debate, and the GOP challenger? He’s got a lot to say.

Here We Go Again Laura breaks down the June 5 BOE agenda, and John follows up with notes from the meeting — highlighting the District’s ongoing attempts to gut fiscal oversight, this time with tall tales about pending legislation.

Turf Field Concerns Not Going Away After a vague referendum and a misleading campaign, questions about the turf project’s environmental impact are finally coming to the surface. Shauna digs in, asking what Berkeley Heights Township never did while racing toward the Mayor’s so-called “legacy project.”

No One Betta than Loretta I dont care if it’s corny-I was holding that line in my head all week and it had to come out.  Loretta Rivers has become one of our our favorite candidates this season as she takes on the tag team that took down OPRA in District 17.  We publish a candidate statement from Mrs. Rivers on the importance of OPRA and Transparency and the Editorial Board makes it’s first unanimous endorsement this election.

Still Shining that Big-Ass Light Year four has been 12 incredible months for NJ21st – there is much to celebrate but even more work to be done.
