In this video, Jacqueline Cinque does what we wish more residents would: hold the Council accountable to their own words. Imagine if every resident showed up to Council and BOE meetings this prepared. Imagine if every resident pushed back with the same level of scrutiny.

Meanwhile, the Council rushed through a $3.5 million bond at warp speed for oddly specific roadwork (a lot of driveway repairs). They disabled Zoom access, delayed public materials, and still offer residents the same canned excuses: “We’re working on it.” “It’s extraordinarily complicated.” All while this issue has gone unresolved for years.

Here’s the bottom line: residents aren’t always given accurate information by their own representatives and officials. If you want your public dollars going to real needs instead of vanity projects you have to show up.
