Candidate Statement: Glenn Endick for Berkeley Heights Town Council

2025 ElectionsBerkeley Heights Town Council

Persistent. Transparent. Accountable.

About Me

I’m proud to call Berkeley Heights home—a husband, father of twin daughters, and teacher who believes in service, patience, and persistence. I don’t quit when it comes to doing what’s right. That’s the mindset I’ll bring to Berkeley Heights Town Council: focused, fair, and determined to get results.

Why I’m Running

I love this town—its beauty, character, and people—but love also brings responsibility. Too often, residents are ignored while meetings end in arguments and inaction. I’m running to restore trust, demand accountability, and ensure our town government works for residents, not against them.

Accountability and Oversight

Oversight protects taxpayers, infrastructure, and trust. I’ll demand monthly efficiency reports on shared services, competitive bidding for major contracts, and public transparency for every expenditure.

I’ll work with state oversight agencies to make sure every partnership benefits residents, not special interests. Our wastewater and infrastructure systems must be safe, compliant, and professionally managed—with honest oversight at every level.

Transparency and Communication

Government should never hide behind bureaucracy. If elected, I will:

  • Respond promptly to ALL resident inquiries and emails.
  • Hold weekly office hours for direct conversation.
  • Launch a monthly “Community Update” newsletter to explain projects, budgets, and upcoming decisions in clear, plain language.
  • Enforce clear response standards for township staff.

Residents shouldn’t have to beg for answers—they should expect them.

Managing Growth and Infrastructure

Overdevelopment has strained our roads, schools, and flood systems. We must pause unsustainable projects until we have modernized infrastructure and long-term flood mitigation. I’ll push our county and state partners to return tax dollars to Berkeley Heights in real investments and support.

Fiscal Responsibility

With some of the region’s highest property taxes, we can’t keep asking residents to pay more. I’ll pursue smarter budgeting, shared services, and grants to improve efficiency without raising taxes. Every expenditure will be justified, tracked, and transparent.

Independent Leadership

I’m running to represent you—not special interests. I’ll make decisions with integrity, transparency, and respect for every resident. Independence means doing what’s right, even when it’s unpopular.

My Vision

A Berkeley Heights that:

  • Has fixed its infrastructure and reduced flooding.
  • Operates openly, with clear communication and measurable results.
  • Holds every contractor and partner accountable.
  • Keeps its small-town charm while delivering modern, reliable services.

In Closing: My Promise to Berkeley Heights

I’m running for Berkeley Heights Town Council to be a results-driven, transparent, and independent leader who stands by my word, listens to every resident, opens the doors of government through face-to-face conversations and accountability, and always puts the people of Berkeley Heights first—unapologetically and without compromise.
