Join me in Voting for Sai for Board of Education

I met Sai Bhargavi Akiri Several years ago when running for Berkeley Heights Board of Education. Sai’s desire to learn about everyone she meets is enviable. Sai asks questions when others don’t.

As a lifelong resident of Berkeley Heights, I have always been confident in the quality and curriculum structure within our schools…until recently.

When I learned that Sai was running for the board this fall, I discussed my concerns with her regarding our experiences and what could being done to correct them.  Sai is always open to discussion and wants what is best for the students in the most cost effective manner.

Sai shares my frustrations with “Building Thinking Classrooms” and more importantly, why little is being done to adjust its implementation. It seems as though some instructors engage it more heavily than others. This is why I am supporting Sai for Board of Education.  While the status quo may be what our current Board desires, I know that with Sai Bhargavi Akiri on the Berkeley Heights Board of Education, there will need to be accountability with fact driven solutions…exactly what we need to better all of our children’s experiences. 

 We are continually bombarded with concerns of equity in many areas of our social society, but where is the equity here?  I know that Sai will fight for equity for everyone.  I encourage you to vote for Sai Bhargavi Akiri for Berkeley Heights Board of Education.
