What’s Important to Know About Berkeley Heights This Week…

This week’s newsletter includes coverage of the Town Council’s passage of the Municipal Land Use Ordinance – probably one of the most significant actions by this Council, this year through a process many residents felt was rushed and poorly timed during a lame-duck session.

We learned about the District’s disregard for OPRA and why many abandon the GRC as an option and pursue actions through Superior courts. We also followed up on what many parents say was an illegally distributed survey given to students.

Affordable housing was one focus of this week’s state weekly wrap-up, and Julie Kot finding herself in a familiar back and forth in a different district was the highlight of this week’s notes.
