What’s Important to Know About Berkeley Heights This Week….

This week’s newsletter starts with tackling three significant issues facing the Berkeley Heights School District in the coming months: The Audit/Budget Process, Superintendent Search, and the ongoing Courtesy Busing Controversy. Readers will discover that misdirection, strange numbers, and secrecy continue dominating all three areas, along with the meeting agendas to which two items are connected.

We then revisit three policy changes made by the old majority during the 11th hour of last year’s BOE term and its current and potential influence in creating chaos in this new term as four BOE Members attempt to battle the Administration and remnants of the Penna bloc in getting the District back on track.

The newsletter winds down with an account from Shauna on her experiences since volunteering to inform the community on BOE issues and a summary of important news from around the state.

Notes from the week include two more interesting snapshot comparisons on budget and proficiencies between New Providence and Berkeley Heights.
