What’s Important to Know About Our Local & State Government This Week….

This week’s newsletter opens with coverage of the Town Council and Board of Education reorganization meetings. Notably, this year marks the first time in recent history that both meetings were scheduled on the same day. Typically, the Town Council reorganization occurs on New Year’s Day. We provide a summary of the agendas and will be closely monitoring developments from both sessions.

Next, we feature two insightful articles on enhancing math education. One is the second installment in a series on the history of math instruction, while the other explores ways the District can increase instructional time at CMS.

We then turn our attention to the proposed 2025-26 BHPS Calendar, offering suggestions that could boost both academic outcomes and professional development opportunities.

Finally, we wrap up with a look back at our most-read articles of 2024 and highlight the top three pieces from December.
