What’s Important to Know About Our Local & State Government This Week….

This week’s newsletter begins with critical coverage of a pivotal BOE meeting, where the 2025 BHPSNJ Budget will be discussed and voted on. At the center of this discussion is Mayor Devanney’s attempt to disrupt the meeting by collaborating with the County-appointed BOE President to force the Lease Agreement onto an already packed and essential agenda. This maneuver appears designed to pressure the District into signing the agreement, which the Mayor has publicly framed as her “legacy project”—all at the expense of the District’s priorities.

Next, we present a three-part analysis dismantling the Mayor’s narrative, alongside a video exposing the hypocrisy of the Township’s stance—specifically, how high school students were locked out of the tennis courts as a bargaining tactic to seize District land.

We continue with updates on the Mayor’s ongoing dispute with the BHFD, along with the latest developments on the community petition.

Finally, we highlight voices from the community, a selection of impactful images from the week, and our top three articles from February.
