The former BOE hired the current Business Administrator, who has largely continued the practices of their predecessor. The prior BA operated under the misguided belief that the District could act with minimal public input or oversight. This approach led to multiple lawsuits related to OPRA violations and numerous embarrassing incidents for the former BOE and administration, exposing both incompetence and duplicity in handling the budget and policies.

This afternoon, just before the last BOE meeting of the year, a revised agenda was abruptly introduced. It included new items that the BA was almost certainly aware of beforehand but will likely offer a convenient excuse for failing to disclose. Predictably, up to three BOE members are expected to support this explanation.

A series of new business items suggests that contracts are being signed and purchases made without Board review or approval—possibly linked to the costly and impractical ID system that the Administration and three BOE members unsuccessfully attempted to push through.
