We received a version of the 2025-2026 BHPSNJ Detailed budget from the District yesterday. We cleaned up the formatting and added a tab menu.

You can download it here.

Some quick snapshots from the spreadsheet are below but before we get started on that it might be good to point out a slide from the New Providence BOE Budget Meeting. Notice their slide and how it aligns with the Districts we include in our Dashboard.  It’s good to see New Providence hold themselves to similar Districts versus cherry picking cosmetic options.  It’s also good to see that their District respects their families enough to offer these comparisons to other schools as a means of giving them an evaluation point.  Neither of these were present during the BHPSNJ Budget presentation.

The snap shots below are based on 2024-2025 Approved v. 2025-2026 Proposed:

Top Ten increases from 2024-2025 Approved to 2025-2026 Proposed Budget (Dollar Amount)

Top Ten increases from 2024-2025 Approved to 2025-2026 Proposed Budget ≥ $100,000 24–25 Approved Budget (Percentage)

Top Ten Decreases from 2024-2025 Approved to 2025-2026 Proposed Budget (Dollar Amount)

Top Ten Decreases from 2024-2025 Approved to 2025-2026 Proposed Budget ≥ $100,000 24–25 Approved Budget (Percentage)

These are first page District-wide snapshots – we will break down school by school in the weeks ahead.
