Based on the attachments, there will be a presentation for the NJSBA STEAM Tank Challenge that highlights Ms Wilczynski’s 5th grade QUEST students who were tasked with identifying a real-world problem, design or modify a product, and include environmental sustainability in the solution. This follows an encouraging trend in BOE meeting of increasing recognition for academic work and achievements.
An item of significance is the 2024-25 Audit Corrective Action Plan requiring the District to have two signatures on checks for student activity accounts and reconcile all student accounts each month.

Compared with last year, the findings appear narrower and more limited however this was a finding identified from last year that appears unresolved.
Under Finance, there is a resolution to approve special counsel, Murphy McKeon, PC for referendum projects in 2026-27 at an hourly rate of $185.
The Board will also approve a Change Order (#4) for “back charges and costs incurred by the District due to contractor delays, deficient work an resulting damages including but not limited to water infiltration and required remediation.”
The William Woodruff Library is getting more money, this time from the NJ State Library in recognition of the schools participation in the Teaching Information Literacy pilot project.
Under Personnel, the Board will approve the resignation of Daniel McGovern, GLHS Physics/Mathematics educator effective 6/30/26 along with a slew of re-approvals for several tenured staff and administrators.
The increase in meetings this year has made meetings far more digestible, so while there may not be a ton of items on the agenda – they’re important and residents have more head-space to take them in.
